Carl Hardie

Carl Hardie joined Sandbox in 2026 as the Chief Financial Officer.  He is responsible for all financial matters across the firm, and also serves as a strategic advisor on all current and future investment opportunities. Prior to joining Sandbox, Carl spent more than 12 years in healthcare investment banking at Harris Williams, William Blair and Cain Brothers, where he was a Managing Director. He was focused primarily on the MedTech Services market, and built thriving practices at two different banks.  He advised on 30+ deals, and closed more than $9B worth of M&A and capital market transactions during that time.  He also spent several years early in his career at Satellite Asset Management, and Lehman Brothers.    

Carl holds an M.B.A. from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Finance from Brigham Young University.  He currently lives in Chicago, IL and enjoys F1, football, hockey, spending time with his family, and trying to keep up with his two kids who have made it their mission to be involved in as many activites as possible.
