Q. What's your story?

A. 

I was contacted by Millie in April of 2011. At the time, I was freelancing and not looking for full-time work, but was intrigued by the business model of Sandbox. Where else could I work on a multitude of start-ups in a community of entrepreneurs while still earning a salary? It was the best job I never knew I could have.

Q. What inspires you?

A. 

What motivates me is teamwork and cooperation. It takes a team to accomplish big things, and when we can interweave team members’ unique specialties around the same goal, it makes for a fun and rewarding enterprise.

Q. Why Sandbox?

A. 

First of all, I really enjoy working with the skilled, motivated people at Sandbox. It’s hard to describe without generalizing, but I’m still frequently surprised at the focused creativity of my co-workers.

I also like that the work we do really makes a difference in our companies. Our work gets seen and we get credit for what we do. It’s motivating. We congratulate each other and hold each other accountable.

Q. Where can we find you outside of work?

A. 

Trying to stay active! Currently: Rock-climbing at Formula Fitness Club in Old Town; Yoga at Vessel Yoga in West Loop or Core Power Yoga, Bucktown. Weekends are for beaches and visiting the fine establishments in the Wicker Park, Bucktown, and Logan Square areas. And as of this past summer, you can find me out in the streets of Chicago on my new motorcycle! I have a Suzuki Intruder 1400, VROOOM!!
