Q & A
Q. What's your story?
A.
Cecelia Myers, the CEO and founder of CakeStyle reached out to me after seeing my profile on LinkedIn. I’d been doing buying for another company based out of New York, so I was working remotely from home. It had been about a year since I’d worked in a “normal” office environment, so I felt ready to get back into the swing of things. You always hear rumors about awesome things like that happening, but you never expect them to happen to you!
Q. What inspires you?
A.
Finding ways to make things my own, and giving everything a personal touch. I’ve always enjoyed working for smaller and/or independently owned businesses for this exact reason. Letting customers know I see them as a person, and not just a number, is really important to me.
Q. Why Sandbox?
A.
The possibilities here seem so endless. At every job I’ve had, there’s been the notion of “If you can dream it, we can do it.” This has always been true to varying degrees, but it’s never been as true as it is an Sandbox.
Q. Where can we find you outside of work?
A.
I tend to enjoy the same activities as either a little kid, or a grandmother. I love playing board games, and being active in my dodgeball and roller hockey leagues. But at the same time, nothing gets me quite like a Sunday afternoon of crocheting or embroidering with my cat on my lap.
Oh, and brunch. You can always find me at brunch.
