Q & A

Q. What's your story?

A.

Danny Levi and I struck up a conversation on a plane to Washington, DC about his awesome new job at Sandbox. He said that he’d learned a tremendous amount of information in just a few short weeks. From the moment he started talking about it, I felt that Sandbox would be a great next step after having worked at Groupon for over a year. We kept in touch for a few months and, after enough pestering him, Danny suggested I apply for a position.

Q. What inspires you?

A.

I want to help connect the real world to the virtual world. My goal is to identify a real world problem–big or small–and leverage technology to help solve that problem. I’m motivated by this overarching theme and this desire helps me learn and grow every day.

Q. Why Sandbox?

A.

Sandbox has incredible people working here. We all trust, respect, and support one another. While everyone works on a different project, we are all one team. It’s a true joy to come in everyday, learn from everyone’s successes and struggles, and try and apply this knowledge to my own work. Most importantly, I get paid to think.

Q. Where can we find you outside of work?

A.

On the bike path or at Chitown Futbol indoor soccer, in a Chicago hot dog stand or a high-end Parisian restaurant, at Soldier Field or Michigan Stadium, on my porch, grilling, or on my couch watching HBO. More or less, I’ve got a range of interests and I try to keep up with all of them. Ideally you’d find me in August, after a long hike in Grand Teton National Park and a burger at Billy’s Giant Hamburgers, sitting on a chair in the middle of a field, taking in the scene as the day ends.
