Q & A

Q. What's your story?

A.

As I was about to leave my internship at Landor, I began to panic. I had been all right for a while picking up internships and whatnot, but there had been about a year of that and I was out of college and ready to find somewhere to stay awhile. After looking endlessly before my internships, I stumbled upon Sandbox’s job posting on indeed.com. As soon as I did my research on the company, I fell in love with what they did; having a bunch of different ideas and concepts flying around all at once, and always hopping on different projects with fresh thoughts, it’s basically a designer’s dream come true. Needless to say, I applied as soon as possible.

Q. What inspires you?

A.

Definitely a lot of things, and a lot of weird things at that. I am inspired and motivated all the time on one hand by certain factual and completely rational philosophy. However on the other hand I am much more motivated and driven by the nonsensical and weird. I love all sorts of well designed things: nature, science, illustration, mid-century furniture/design/architecture, cartoons, books. However, the most important inspiration I get is from the random thoughts that “fire at will” in my imagination.

Q. Why Sandbox?

A.

There is always something new to be working on, and I have never worked with so many incredibly intelligent individuals in my life. I am allowed to walk when I need to and concentrate as well. I really enjoy it here, and sometimes I don’t know why, I think it’s just the vibe that Sandbox gives off.

Q. Where can we find you outside of work?

A.

You can usually find me somewhere riding my bike, or walking my dog Mocha. I’ve also found a passion and propensity for rock climbing, so you can most likely see me at a rock climbing gym.
