Q. What's your story?

A. 

After spending my first two years out of college working for a fairly big company, I wanted to try my hand at something smaller and more entrepreneurial. Millie told me about this great company that she had just started working for and thought that I would also really love it. Once she opened the door to Sandbox for me, and I saw firsthand what a great and unique environment it had, I knew that I couldn’t let the door close.

Q. What inspires you?

A. 

I’m inspired by taking an idea from its early infancy and creating an operational company that people care about. I’m motivated by learning and love that my job requires that I constantly learn about so many different aspects of business and specific industries. I’m also both inspired and motivated by the amazing people and culture that we have at Sandbox.

Q. Why Sandbox?

A. 

My favorite thing about my job at Sandbox is that when somebody asks me what I do at work everyday, I don’t have one standard answer. Sandbox is constantly evolving and our jobs in the foundry range from brainstorming new company ideas with the whole team to running the day-to-day operations of the companies I’ve founded. The breadth of experience, the in-house mentoring and amazing colleagues, and the general feeling of excitement that pervades the office make Sandbox an incredible place to work.

Q. Where can we find you outside of work?

A. 

Outside of work you can find me at a park playing rec league soccer or softball, at any Chicago sports arena cheering on my hometown teams, and generally around town at any number of restaurants. If you have “hidden gem” restaurant suggestions in Chicago for me, I’m all ears. You can also hopefully find me skiing in Colorado for at least a week in the winter.
