Q. What's your story?

A. 

I grabbed lunch with my former colleague and Sandbox Managing Director Nina Nashif to talk about some of the cool stuff she was working on. I was particularly interested in Healthbox, an accelerator program for healthcare startups, which was in the early stages of development. Lucky for me, they needed a couple extra hands!

Q. What inspires you?

A. 

I’m inspired by people, specifically those who are smart and accomplished, yet humble and generous. I’m also inspired by those who aspire to do big things, disrupt the status quo, and take risks.

My motivation comes from working in an industry (healthcare) that is full of challenges and opportunities. Much is at stake, and I enjoy working with those who are developing the innovative solutions that will propel us forward.

Q. Why Sandbox?

A. 

Without a doubt, it’s the interesting people I come in contact with on a daily basis. In addition to my wonderful colleagues, I get to meet, brainstorm, and share ideas with current and soon-to-be healthcare leaders every day. The incredible amount of exposure is both exhilarating and humbling.

I also like Bagel Wednesdays, flip flops in the office, and summer lunches on the roof of Twisted Spoke.

Q. Where can we find you outside of work?

A. 

Riding my motorcycle, running along the lake shore path, shooting photos, snowboarding, traveling to Colorado, California, Thailand or Rome, etc. I like to be outside when I’m outside of work.
